Being the team's leader, Skipper's the strongest of the group being an expert in combat than the others. Most likely using this skill longer as he used to have two other team-mates before the three; Manfredi and Johnson who died under mysterious circumstances. He has a rough commando-type attitude that is probably due to being the leader which effects with Marlene's friendly attitude. Who he is good friend's with and is rumored with some hints in the episodes that they could eventually become a couple that is called 'Skilene' (by putting both of their names into one word) even though there isn't any episodes or information on them actually being a couple. It is known that he is afraid of needles but doesn't admit until later. But luckily for him he escapes his cage before his turn and smacks the veterinarian on the neck which knocks him out. Skipper is the second shortest only being below Private's height.

Name Origin: There's lots of definitions for his name but there's only a few that match; a manager or leader, as of a sporting team the leader part matches him perfectly since he is the leader of a team and it could also be his rank. But there's also The master of a ship which explains why he wears a captains hat when the penguins use their submarine but him being the team leader can also be the reason as well.

Major Episode Appearances

Since Skipper appears in every episode I can't simply call them 'Episode Appearances' can I? So, that's why they're called Major Episode Appearances since there are episodes that really focus on Skipper. I most likely won't put them all down just some of them.

Episode 110a: Needle Point

Skipper tests his team on their reaction time to a 'tennis ball machine uprising' but during the test Alice drops cages on the penguins and takes them to the animal care building where they get their shots. Skipper is clam when they arrive telling the others that it's a routine check-up but his mood quickly changes as his team get their shots as he hears their screams of pain. With him being the last one to get his shot he escapes and knocks out the doctor. He convinces his team that the zoo is onto their operation with the zoo being on lock down because of him not getting his shot. Private eventually sees that he still has the leg bracelet on which means that he didn't get his shot unlike his team (who also had leg bracelets before their shots). He admits that he didn't get his shot since he's afraid of getting one but agrees to get it so they can stay in the zoo as his team decides to help him get through it. However it turns out that he was lying as he disappears while their backs are turned. They chase him all over the zoo and fails to as Private poses as Skipper to get another shot in order to get Skipper back. Skipper sees this, finding out from the chimpanzees that Private getting another shot could make him ill and rushes to the animal care building to save Private. He sneaks in, replacing Private and gets his shot.

Episode 119a: I Was a Penguin Zombie

While the penguins are up in a tree using fishing poles to fish out items from the hot dog cart. Skipper goes for the sauerkraut but ends up breaking his flipper when the hot dog guy closes the cart which his fishing line gets trapped and pulls him out of the tree. Skipper takes part in a number of activities that involves using his flipper. Alice soon notices Skipper's broken wing and takes him to the vet. The doctor is now aware that he's afraid of needles and uses a tropical cream on Skipper's flipper resulting in his actions being slow and stumbling. When the doctor leaves he tries to escape but fails and accidentally turns on the tv while his team are on their way to rescue him. They try getting in through the window but are one too penguin short to get in and over hear the tv, discussing about a patient they are loosing due to an infection that has reached the brain, thinking that they are talking about Skipper. Meanwhile Skipper is still trying to escape and flips over a container of white powder and gets wrapped up in falling bandages. The other penguins cry over the loss of their beloved leader when Skipper busts through the door looking like a zombie. They put on helmets while they run away from him, running all around the zoo trying to avoid him. Soon Kowalski comes up with a plain to cure a 'zombie' would be to capture him and do painful tests. Skipper finally realizes that he's a zombie and tries to get away, making Rico eventually regurgitate a grappling hook in order to make his getaway. The penguins follow him up to the roof and surround him when he's finally able to talk normally he tells them to stop. And explains the situation to them and tries to reassure them that broken wings are not contagious. Not believing him, they all try to grab him and end up falling off the roof and end up at the doctor's office with broken wings.
