Version 1: Headquarters

April 7, 2012 - October 3, 2012

Inspired by one of my previous layouts on my personal site called Secret Agent Penguins Version that was the first ever Penguins of Madagascar layout that I ever made. Except since this layout is a lot smaller it's more of a small but improved version of that layout. While creating this layout, that was the first time I tried a new page link code because of how I wanted the site to be small. I didn't really like using scroll-bars on every page but it had to be done.. Getting the disclaimer info and free-webs button at the bottom of the layout was a real pain but just like using the scroll-bars, there was nothing else I could do about it, than to do it this way. Because of the layout code I used.

Version 2.0: Halloween Night

October 3, 2012 - December 5, 2012

October was approaching and it was a must to create a Halloween layout for Penguin HQ :D At first I was going to go with the colors orange and black but since the moon is green in the background of the image I went with green and black instead to match which looked a lot better :3 For this layout I used a new layout code so I wouldn't have to add scroll-bars and have trouble with the disclaimer at the bottom. So, I had a much easier time with this layout set up than the previous one. Since this was a Halloween layout, it didn't last that long to be able to use each avatar to update.

Version 2.1: Christmas Miracle

December 5, 2012 - February 1, 2013

December was coming and I decided to make a second part out of Version 2.0 since it used the same coding as the previous one except for one change; the pages where images since I wanted to use the same lovely winter font for the pages just like the banner but the navigation developed a little white spot by 'Pictures', most likely because the image wasn't big enough to take over that white spot. I could fix it but it wasn't a big deal so I left it alone. The layout was as helpful as in the previous layout but I had a problem with the one header in the updates, it just wouldn't stay in the center no matter what I did so I left it alone as well. Since this was a Christmas layout, it didn't last that long to be able to use each avatar to update.

Version 3: Back in 2009

February 15, 2013 - January 21, 2014

After Penguin HQ's first hiatus that lasted over 2 weeks, this layout set up was inspired by an old favorite site of mine; Ryuu no Shounen. I was also inspired by Nick's old Penguins of Madagascar site back in 2009 since I didn't know about the old set up until I archived it using Archive.org :3 Since the colors where blue, sky blue, and white I decided to use those colors. I was going to try out a java script code that would show a random banner image on each page (since Ryuu no Shounen used this code as well) which is what I was hoping to use but I couldn't get it to agree with the layout set up I used. So, I didn't use it D: Unlike the other layouts, this one was up for over a year since I really liked this one ^-^ and didn't have an idea for the next layout until 2014.

Version 4: The Penguin Who Loved Me

January 21, 2014 - January 26, 2015

At first I had no idea what the next layout would look like until I stumbled upon this game from The Penguin's side of nick.com which surprisingly has Doris on the image :O and thought of making this layout and decided to name this layout from the last 22 min special: The Penguin Who Loved Me :D I took a screen-shot of that image from the game itself. The part where the site's name is, used to be where the game's title was. I did a lot of editing in that part and spiced it up :D Since there are lasers in that image, I used the gradient tool in Paint.NET to give the borders that green laser look, which looked really cool 8D After I added the banner and content/navigation background, I noticed that the content width was too small, so the Season 2 Episode List went off to the side a little D: Before making this layout, I made a quick layout map that showed an example on what this layout will be like on 10/21/13.
